help : car wont start
help : car wont start well I went outside today and my car wont start. it was fine last night but when I turn the key all it does is click once. the battery is good, and I tried two different keys multiple times so I dont think its the VATS. could it be my starter ? or what else ?
Should be in one of the black boxes under the hood. Your solenoid on the starter might be toasted too, but I'd make DAMN sure it's not the battery before I started replacing ****.
1) ya check the battery cables and clean them off then try it
2)if that doesnt work then ya check the solenoid
3)get under the car and hit the starter a couple times with a hammer or something hard and then try it. bc my car has done that and the kick out mechanism was stuck i guess and when i hit it it broke it loose i guess i dunno but it worked
4) if that still doesn't work get a new starter lol.

sounds like you are a little low on battery power. If you can hear the starter click then its getting power, just not enough. I would check the battery connections, and also check the connections on the starter.
well I checked the battery cables and the fuses and solenoid, tried hitting the starter with a hammer but nothing, all I get is a click from the starter. i guess I need a starter
