I can do you one better...here's the website: www.mufflex-performance.com
Look at his pics if you doubt the workmanship. He's the only guy around here that can use 5in oval under an f-body. He does custom intakes as well Just fill out the online form and he'll get back to you. He's a really busy shop this time of year...but his work is worth the wait

Yea.. you should have laughed in his face. Maybe if this guy had a production line he could offer the duals at a cheaper price. Well.. look at it this way.. I guess you get what you pay for. Go cheap.. Get cheap

I guess you are the Tyson I talked to. I started this thread to see what everybody else thought about the price you quoted me. I wasnt doing it to bash anybody. I was doing to see if I was over-exagerating, as it turns out I wasnt, as most everybody here feels thats too high of a price. Once again, I wasnt trying to offend you. I felt your price was VERY high, based on the information I have learned from this site.

For $1500 it should come with a damn trip to Maui. You didn't want to do it, so you quoted an outrageous price hoping the guy would bite, and now you're getting railed.

There you go Blur...now all I need to do is find a shop around Northern VA or MD that will do it at a decent price and do a good job. Im getting ready to just say F$%* it and buy a y-pipe and call it a day.

dude, just get the True duals from texas speed and have a different shop make them go out the back. This guy sounds way to expensive for his own good.

if it was a mandrel bent, out the back over-the-axel setup that is COMPLETELY STAINLESS STEEL and includes all parts and labor, it wouldn't be totally awful.

if there is even 1 piece of non-stainless tubing in that setup, you'd be getting jacked.

personally, i'd look around elsewhere.

nokeman:

3"True Duals with X pipe over the axle

4- 3 bolt Flanges $30.00
2- Gaskets $10.00
10- Mandrel Bends $300.00 Stainless 40.00 to 50.00 per bend
2- Mufflers $200.00 to $240.00 (elderbrock - Magnaflow)
1- Panhard relocation bracket $220.00
1- adj panhard rod $130.00
1- straight 3" tubing $20.00
2- Tips $ what ever you pick
1- heat shield rap for fuel lines $ 15.00
5- exhaust hangers $ 25.00 to 30.00

Add Tax and shipping

Labor: Fabrication/ welding/ installation (Figure 10-15 hours)It is not a easy job for a car that didnt come with duals. It would be a lot less $$ if you ran the duals before the axle. If you run the duals under the axle it wouldnt be the best of ideas. Its not a clean set-up but it can be done. I wouldnt! But it is all in what you like I guess..

This is everything you need to do the set-up over the axle right. If it is to much you to aford all at once I would concider running the duals before the axle and then adding the rest later. Most shops do not have a Mandrel bender so they have to put the exhaust together in pieces. It takes time to make sure their arent going to have any clearence problems. Or...? You could do a offroad y-pipe or try out a set of TSB duals W/ bullet mufflers(loud)
Hope this helps

Oh.. also you could try Meineke. I heard they are having a clearence on their true duals

If you still need help let me know..
Tyson

My setup on my old Camaro wasn't mandrel bent, but only cost me $100. I just supplied the X and Flowmasters.
