Motor mount torque spec question...

Question Motor mount torque spec question...

I searched and looked in an old manual and I think I only found half of what I was looking for....

motor mount clamshell to block bolt torque specs......37 ft lbs
Is that correct?

What is the torque spec on the long bolt that connects clamshell/motor to pedestal/car?

thanks....looks like 37 was correct
and looks like 70 ft lbs on the big one

What is the "engine mount through bolt nut" that says torque to only 89 IN lbs?

also....were you able to actuallly get a torque wrench on each of the four mount to motor bolts?

I didnt see any loc-tite on the threads, is it nessc. on any of the bolts?

You don't want to tighten the big bolt too much because you will just bend the mount together. It will also not be able to pivot as much.

Don't worry about loctite on them, and I just, to steal someone else's phrase, "German torq'd 'em"....... "Guten-tite".

Ive been reading old posts, and have a new question.....

What is the correct way to torque the long through bolt and nut so it isnt over torqued? anyone have any suggestions or should I just torque it like any other bolt?
