I have the pacesetter longtubes with true duals (x pipe) dumped and its a very deep strong sound. Definately do like the others said and get the LT's if thats what your planning on doing before you decide to change the rest of the exhaust.

Sorry I didn't respond to your PM, I've been cursing the LSx gods who've been torturing me the past few days.
If you're shooting for Mustang sound, or even CLOSE to Mustang sound, you're SOL. These cars sound like a ******* tugboat with 2 cylinders down on their best day compared to a 4.6L 'stang.
I don't know what you're going to do for a deeper sound. You could possibly run 3" bullets with dumps. I've never heard those mufflers before, so it might be the problem. LT's will also make it deeper, as stated before.
Personally, I think it sounds great. You've got a great exhaust system going on and it'll flow enough to support nearly all future mods you may have in mind.

Personally, I have the sound that you want. I have 3" true duals, x-pipe, magnaflow bullet-style muffers (don't know what kind; they're the ones Speed inc uses... call them and ask which ones they use), and dumps. [edit: And longtube headers!]
Ask Mike; he's heard my setup. It is about as deep and bassy as you can get. Even deeper than my old TD setup with flopro's.

not trying to sound like a mustang.. my mustang sounds sooooooooo much better than my ta. i jsut want a deep bassy tone to my car. i have that at idle and cruising.. But at WOT it is exotic and racy sounding. i dont like that. next on my list is kooks lts. i do not wnat to run dumps i like the exhaust tips.. could it be the location of my mufflers?? they are at the rear of the bumper attached to the tips.. What if i move the mufflers back?? i like the exhaust how it is as far as set up, and yes it will support future mods..
all i want is a deep sound

That would be the 40-series and the 80 series found in the catbacks. The single-chambers are nearly straight through and flow extremely well.
