i have prothane motor mounts and went with an energy suspension tranny mount...the prothane mount is a bit stiffer and leads to more vibration. the energy suspension doesn't add too much vibration over stock. i got used to it after a couple days.

did you have any problems with the stock trans mount and the poly motor mounts twisting or binding?

I dunno I had ES mounts in my LT1 TA and it was bad at first too, but it seemed to go away. Like they broke in or something. Maybe I got used to it. Hope this helps.

Trust me, its the trans mount. See if you can locate one of the old OEM 1LE trans mounts - good compromise between stock and poly. I'll try and find the p/n for you...

EDIT: my p/n info shows 22146231 for the 1LE trans mount, but it must have been superseded since I can't find it anywhere anymore. SLP used to carry one as well, that's no longer listed on their website. Hmmm...

Poly motor mounts and stock trans mount is fine. I have the Energy Suspension trans mount, noticed some vibrations, but got used to it in about 3 days. It has two small bumps on the bottom that compress as you tighten it down. Compressing these bumps "preloads" the mount and stiffens it up. Lots of people grind off the bumps and don't let it preload, which decreases vibrations somewhat.

I thought about removing mine shortly after putting it in, but the benifits are better than the vibration (no shifter movement, less wheelhop, etc.).

LS1 doc i have the macs too the only vibration I feel is in the clutch cause those headers dump right at trans belhousing other then that its pure acceleration. my GF just drove the car yesterday and said everything was fine. I drove in 3rd until 3500 and left it there too test for any vibrations and just engine noise occured.

I had a poly tranny mount on my car for about 2 hours then put the stock one back on, i have poly motor mounts on both sides and no vibes, the car does tend to shake a little more because of the mounts as opposed to just the motor shakin

FWIW, I've run mine with poly motor mounts and stock tranny mount with no issues. I think the motor mounts are the real key anyway.

I have the ES tranny mount, it's awesome. I did a ton of searching, and the consensus seems to be that it is not as stiff as other polly tranny mounts, so it doesn't vibrate as much.
