Best cat-back with stock manifolds?
Go with GMMG. I had one on my stock manifolds/cats for 11 months. Awesome system. Got only better when I added my Kooks/Catted Y 2 weeks ago.
I can't say really anything positive/negative any other system, as there is very few LS1's in my neck of the woods that have an aftermarket catback. My buddy's 98 has a TSP Rumbler, but I heard that all of 1 day before he put LT's and a ORY on. Haven't heard it yet with those on.

. Just trying to find the best bang for the buck cat back that would sound good with my stock setup.

+1 for Loudmouth. Test drove a 99 Z28 with it before I bought mine...it sounded badass. DO NOT GET HOOKER AERO if you don't plan on LTs, I had a cutout ordered 30mins after the Hooker install was done. Now the LTs are going on tomorrow with an ORY, from the sound clips I've heard, the Aero will be awesome.
