Tubular LS1 Solid Motor Mounts...get em or no?
i saw em on Speed Inc's website....
Anyone have any experience with them..I figured id put em on when i swap heads and cam and all.....
pros and cons...any help would be GREAT!!!
reason i thought about changing to these is when i floor the car the collector of the LT hits just slightly...so i wanted to go to poly mounts..then I saw this...this seems better to me than poly!
anyone?

i dont know much about suspension or mounts or what not but what i do know is that the more solid you go the more you will get vibration and shaking becaust theres nothing to absorb the motion of the engine or chassis....so keep this in mind when going from **** plastic stockers to any kind of a SOLID mount jus my .o2

If the cars not a DD I would get them. I have solid mounts in my RX7 and the whole entire car shakes when its on, haha it looks pretty badass actually. But the vibration is too much to live with it for daily driving.

i'm dd spohn solids.as long as everything has some clearance it's not too bad.there is a more "connected"feel to the solids.they are a pita to install though(took me about 6 hours).hope this helps

my times werent that great bt not bad...my best run was a 13.5 at 106 MPH....on street tires and a feathered launch...it was my first run EVER at a track, so...i figured it was good..please note that my 90/90 is not on yet, niether are my heads or my MS3, all i have is exhaust and a pulley...soo...i will get better, if i had stickies and a tune it would be close to a 12 i feel....i need practice...

Yes it will be easier when you have the manifolds/headers (which ever you have) off
non im going to have the HEADS off, so headers, manny, heads...everything, itll just be the block, so i figured i coudl just do it then as it will all be easily accessible...
do you have any tips..like jack points...and tools that will be needed, or is it basic hand tools and patience?
Thanks a lot I appreciate your help
