you will never lose efficiency and mileage due to the cutout being open. you will lose it due to the throttle being WIDE OPEN

an open cutout yields better exhaust gas flow and that in turn increases the engine's efficiency. increased efficiency equals better mileage. take a highway run. cruse 100 miles with the cruise control on, never touching the gas the whole time with the cutout closed and open. you'll get better mpg with the cutout open.

ehhh id have to disagree with you on that.....since ive put my flowtech on, its lost about 2 mpg...ive never closed it, without it closed it doesnt have as much backpressure...it drives totally different above 3k rpms....its a totally different car.

i drive 75 miles every day round trip to work, and with the cutout open I would get worse mileage then when it was closed. I'm just answering his question from personal experience. and on my way to work i dont really ever go over 70mph and never get on it.

now with true duals on it i have noticed a Massive increase in gas mileage i was getting 150-170 out of a tank now im back up to 220-240 with a big cam and stall with full exhaust.

how does it go against logic??? if you run open headers you have no restriction on your exhaust at all. but in reality you get extremly shitty mileage out of it because you have no backpressure, a cutout you loose your back pressure and reduce your MPG.

misunderstood....i thought you meant with JUST the true duals now you got better gas mileage then stock without the cutout....logic in any combustion engine says less restriction worse gas mileage...
