and you should be...it's just too damn hard for alot of people to read the instructions on a can...the pictures are the biggest help in there

to anyone else interested:

as far as picking a vacuum line...i just pulled the PCV hose off the intake and connected a nice long hose the intake nipple so I wasn't restricted to hunching over into the engine bay while i was administering the wonder drug to my car

actually this thread reminds me i need to get a better picture of the brake booster on my sticky. i shot mine near dusk with my cell phone camera. that pic he has is zoomed in too much so you can't get the perspective of the engine bay but i need something of that quality and clarity. i gotta get on this...

no problem

i wish more people would see it. not many people go to the general maintenence forum. hmm...do you think one of you mods can sticky it in the external engine forum ALONG with the general maintenence forum? kind of a dual link in both forums that takes you to the exact same page so they both remain exactly the same at all times?

I just finished the FOAM and my car runs a lot better. Only thing was, it didnt smoke until I drove it....A little smoke was in the intake when I opened the TB but thats it 85K....I thought for sure it would have been a mushroom cloud. Definately blue smoke when driving though....thanks for the help thread....

sounds like your car is running good then... .. mine hardly smoked at all during, and not at all really after.

if your car doesn'ts moke like crazy, it just means it wasn't that dirty. you have a very clean car. that's a good thing

On a post a long time ago..it was about how long you warm your car up...I always let mine run for at least 10 minutes in winter[45*] , and 5 in summer no matter how warm as long as temp guage moves to center...have done this 30+ years....[side note: I want to install an aftermarket oil pressure guage..anyone here know where to start.??]

well, automobiles DO produce a lot more emissions when cold than when warmed up...so maybe this theory really is sound. i let my car warm up for a long time in the winter, at least 5 minutes, but in the summer i just give it 30 seconds to circulate the oil and i wait for my temp guage to move past the first dash (160*).
