I don't see any way that the covers made your temps that high. There has to be a different issue. If not lots of people, esp. where I live would be complaining. I don't see covers causing the car to go up 30* to 40*'s.

Check to make sure you didn't suck up anything in front of the radiator like a bag. Also your thermostat could be on its way out. That's why it only does it a idle/redlights, or driving under certain speeds. There isn't enough air moving, even with the fans pulling, if there is an obstruction. The thermostat will cause the car to run hot because the fluid is just running through getting hotter and hotter. Once you start moving it cools back down. Also make sure the fans are working as they're suppose to. Besides the actual water pump, those are what I would check first.

I just noticed you have a 160* in your sig. So yeh, it's definitly not the covers causing the motor to run at those temps.

i honestly think its just me, i got jumped on in here for something....got jumped on for trying to explain a oil pressure issue, and got jumped on for trying to make a point about how a cut out would out preform a catback, in the last like 2 days....hmm
