Default pacesetters installed now odd problem

just installed coated pacesetters and ory, runs fine so far but a weird problem occured. When I lock the doors with the remote the headlights pop up then go back down. Lol! anyone ever have this happen or have any idea
what would cause this, because I sure don't. this has never happened before

That means that the headlight motors are bad. you'll need to replace the motors. It may just be coincidence that it happened after the header install.

I just went out and tried it again and it didn't do it. must just have been a one time glitch.

I would say the headlight gear motor is on the way out.

yea, it is probably the gear in the headlight motor. mine did the exact same thing. it seems weird that those 2 problems are connected, but they are. the teeth on the gear are starting to chip away.

it isnt too bad.the motor is underneath the driver's side headlight. you will need to take off the top headlight cover, the plastic bezel, some of the linkage. you will leave the motor connected to the wires, but thats it. then you have to pry apart the motor. i think its a plastic piece. but pry that off and the gear will be right inside that. like 99formy said, you should get the brass ones. but something that is free is rotating the gear 180 degrees cause only half of it used. which means half of it is still good. but that is kind of a gamble, so you could just spend the money and do it right the first time.
