Where Does The Bump Stop Install?!? Hey, just got my Mufflex bump stop, but i can't tell where the heat shield is from the little graphic included with the instructions.
I have a custom y from them, so I don't know if i still have a heat shield ...
Anyone have a pic of where this thing goes?

on the inside or outside though? I tried searching for pics, but it's almost impossible to tell which side it goes on under the car from the angle of any of the pics i found...

It doesn't matter which side of the pipe it's on, as long as it's the driver side. I would pull the pipe down as I was installing it to kinda preload the rubber part and get it as tight as possible.

Oh yeah it bangs under heavy load (ie geting on it in 1st gear).
I managed to get it on there before, but my Y is set up differently. My drivers side cat doesn't go parallel to the door, it goes perpendicular (mounted facing the doors basically), so i don't know if the bumpstop should go in the 'stock' location?

I don't think I can load it anymore than it is but it's still noisy under heavy engine load ...
