custom ram air
i do know that you would have to relocate the windshield washer fluid container.
This idea has already been done. It is very effective on Camaros. It does deliver more cooler air. I believe the guy cut his airbox like for the free mod, then made a custom plate that attached to the bottom of the airbox. He then ran (2) individual hoses down from the plate & attached them to the backside of the holes in the front bumper.
If I remember right he said it gave him a pretty decent increase for the type of mod it is. Don't get discouraged by douch bags with no knowledge like the guy above. Keep searchin & you will find exactly what your lookin for. I know if I had a Camaro I would do this mod.

It's been done before, but still a pretty cool thing to do if you can pull it off. There are more threads on it, those are just a few.

I did it to my car, I used two 4" daimeter hoses on each side, hidden behind my billet gril. You have to remove the windshield washer resoviour, and cut holes in the bumper support. You also have to take off the whole front bumper cover. But its worth it, it shoves air down your engines throat.
I did fra and in traffic I saw over 150 degrees iat on a 95 degree day. Can you say KR.
I got rid of my ftra because of my trans cooler, I'll bet it was a bit better with it.
Be careful of fra and summertime heat............WOW was I surprised when I started logging iat's
This mod is very interesting.
As far as dirty air filters go....................nevermind
