Default Just installed SLP dual dual

OK, guys - LOVIN' this move. Check the sig. Had the stock Z28 cat back before. It was nice and quiet which I like but a bit "cackly." I took a chance that the quietest SS exhaust would deepen the tone without too much volume increase. Well, it got deeper, got less raspy, and a bit louder. Overall, I LIKE it a lot, especially on startup. Rumbly without being obnoxious. Deeper from inside the car but no resonance and no real volume increase inside. I'll eventually add cats to squelch the smell (GF request) but it's very cool right now. So far, the whole setup is very economical and seems to flow very well. I've got $450 in the headers, ORY, and catback and $200 in labor. I'm very pleased!! I'll see if I can get some sound clips if anyone is interested...

Just tell her "real" cars exhausts smell like that. I don't see how she would prefer the smell of a catted exhaust over one w/o them. Does she have allergies??

it's a great catback. I have one on my daily driven 408 setup. It's very nice and tame for just cruising out on the highway and doesn't attract NEAR as much attention as my old borla setup did.

Yeah, and my butt-o-meter thinks the car may have picked up a few ponies too. How can you beat that?

Good choice. The dual/dual is one of the best cat-backs - period. Great power, sound, and looks. Excellent quality as well. The only downside is it weighs more(from axle back) than two of my true dual systems...

When my car was cammed/headers/ORY I LOVED the dual/dual. It was mature untill you floored it. Then it would scream a very clean note. Loved it.

Now I've got the same lumpy cam, but now I have twin turbos that both act like mufflers. I can barely hear the lope anymore and the car is so unbelievable quiet when screaming to redline it's making me want to change it.

It now sounds quieter than a Honda. I might end up switching to a loudmouth just to make the car sound like it has ***** again.

I like the quietness of the dual/dual. It makes it so you can hear the motor screaming and not just the exhaust. You can get it upto 4k and it doesnt sound like you are at 6k. I think switching from LM2 to dual/dual was the best move i've made with the car yet!!!

plus my car doesnt sound like an 18 wheeler anymore

I have mine now and love it to death. Along with a bullet in the I pipe, it's.... well see the user title......

It feels faster with the cutout closed than with the cutout open too lol. I'm going to dyno it to see what the hell is going on.

Our local paper has what they call the "Bargain Box", any item that's priced under $200 can be put in there. I never look in there because it's usually just a bunch of junk. Well, I was bored at work one day and decided to take a peek. As soon as I turned the page, my eyes were immediately drawn to an ad that stated "SLP Dual Dual $100". Now, understand that this is a full page of that really small print. I still don't know how I caught that so quickly, but I did. I called the guy right away and made arrangements to pick it up the next day. He had bought it for his car and decided to sell the car before he got around to putting it on. (The reason he was selling his F-Body was because he had just bought a '70 GTO Judge and didn't have garage space for both...I wish I had such problems The F-Body he was selling was a 2002 SOM WS6 ) It was the factory system (tailpipes welded to the mufflers) and they had cut it through the over the axle pipe. I bought a new OTA pipe and had a total of $160 invested in the whole system. Just to repeat what everyone else has said, I love my Dual/Dual, too!!
