buy new gaskets as header gaskets are "crush gaskets" and form to the uneven countours on all manifolds
Are you serious?

Don't mess around with the idea of not disconnecting the steering linkage. It's pretty easy once you figure it out and gives a lot of room.
Don't forget to disconnect the battery and remove your spark plugs first so you don't break them.

It seems like the hardest part is lifting it up, can you guys post some pics or tell us how you got it that high.

Ive heard you have to lift it 15 inches from the bottem of the tire to the ground.

I don't know if anyone is going to actually recommend the way they got it that high. It's pretty scary! lol

I did my headers on a lift but the first time I did my clutch I had it really high. I got some 2ft diameter logs out of the back nine and my brother used a chainsaw to square them off and I jacked my car up (like a balancing act) to get it on the logs. You need to use some cinder blocks or 6x6 lumber etc to put under/on the jack.

Probably best to drive up on rhino ramps and then use the jacks to get the additional altitude. Please be extra careful and don't drop your car on yourself.

I start up front and get it on the stands (A-Arm notch) start at lowest setting if you want, then do the back (on the axle) one notch away from highest then repeat for front. Should be enough room...worked for me.... Good Luck

Yeah im not gonna use cinder blocks or wood or anything cause i dont want that to crack while im under their, lol yeah its scary enough when just on jacks a few inches in the air.

Does anyone know if theirs places, or garages that you could rent a lift from.
