You have to get the one from Equus. I got mine from Autobarn.com.
Do a search for Equus and it will pop up. Comes with a variety of fittings and has the one you need. Can't remember size off hand but it's in there.

Forget that brass one, it will most likely break because it will be really thin. Get the steel adapter from

It might break if you really crank it down, but it's not that thin and literally dozens if not 100's of people on here have used the Equus with no problems. Do a search and you'll find it's the most used from what I've found. I used it and no problems whatsoever.

The Equus adapter fitting is fine - as long as you remember to install the adapter onto the sensor FIRST - then install the combo into the rear port on your PS head. Be VERY careful to not overtorque.

The adapter is 12mm x 1/8"FNPT so you don't need to tighten the heck out of the fitting into the head as they are straight threads.

Its the most used because people don't know there are steel adapters out there to be had.

Good point, I just feel safer screwing a soft metal(brass) into a soft metal(aluminum) and not worrying as much about stripping the threads in the block.

Will you still be using the stock coolant temp sender? It's just as critical to the PCM as the O2 sensors, it's not just to tell the driver how hot the car is.

You can run both, but you HAVE to run the stock sensor pluggd into the harness.

Yea, don't mess with the stock sensors, there's no point. I just find it hilarious to see the actual temp differences between the highly accurate stock gauge and the Autometer

FWIW, There is an installation kit from Autometer that comes with the 12mm fitting/adapter. I don't have the # at my fingertips. Also, if you wrap ALL threads on the adapter and sending unit with teflon tape, you don't need to tighten much more than finger tight plus ½ turn for a leak-proof seal.

I was VERY careful with the brass on from the place you named and it broke. That was the one for the pass. side head. Luckily the one that goes in the block by the starter didn't break.

Thread sizes are correct - but whether or not the 12mm section has an ID large enough for the sending unit tip to fit inside of is unknown?

I used teflon tape on the NPT threads and hi temp O2 Sensor Safe Silicone on the straight threads...
