Question Need assistance ID'ing headers ( pics w/in )

Picked up a set of headers w/ a motor that I bought, but the guy that sold me the motor had no idea what they were / are as they were installed on the car when he bought it.

Any thoughts on what they are / how much they'd really help / and if they are worth cleaning up and putting on my 2K TA that I have. The LS1 that I bought is not for the TA, it's going into a little something else that I have.

Thanx!

those look like Dynamaxx headers, the whole set-up cost about $1200, and yes they with be worth cleaning up and putting on your car.

To be honest, I didnt know if I was going to be installing those on the TA or not - sheesh, as pathetic as it sounds I really know nothing about 'em. ( as per post one trying to find out a little about what they are )

I was told that I could do what I wanted to the "project" car, but could not really modify the Trans Am. If they are worth it, I might just bend the rules a little.

Those look like FLP headers and y-pipe to me. I've only seen them installed on one car and they hung pretty low

The driver side would probably have to hang low for that O2 sensor to point straight up.

No, there's plenty of room for it to point straight up.
