Please take a look at this and read about it im wanting to buy it to put on my ls1 will the damage affect the performance of the intake??

If you repair it VERY well yea it should work fine, but if the repair material wears or whatnot it can develop a vacum leak and that will effect performance. If it were me I would just bit the bullet and buy a undamaged one, not worth it if its not just a simple fix and worrying about it leakin exc.
