msd wires....

Default msd wires....

ok guys last wk i took my care in to get the plugs and wires changed at a local performance shop (sponsor), well i was bored tonight so i went outside turned the car on poped the hoods and sprayed water on the wires them. seems like theres a damn fire works show going on in there...this is why i replaced my stock wires to begin with. they are all pretty much doing it...what could be causing this?? wires are not even a wk old, checked the connections and they all look good....need advise..

is it commin from throughout the wires or just at the end? might want to try some conector protector if its comming from the ends

its coming from where the wires connect to the coil packs and some from the center of the wires as well...none of them touch the headers except the one on plug #4 wich sits on the EGR tube.

as far as the heat shields i told the guys at the shopto put the stock shields on but they said they didnt fit and they also said i wouldnt need them .

i thought if my engine missed i would get the SES light, but it does feel like its missing some power...i also gotta check to see if all my plugs were changed.....i should of just done it my self

Id try putting your stock wires back on and seeing if it still does it and if it dont then you have some defective wires

a few of my stock ones did it, which is why i decided to change them. beside i dont have them any more.

should i call the shop and try to get some new ones??

when you say sprayed water on them do you mean misted water or just litterally took a hose to them? Electricity always takes the path of less resistance so if you drenching them in water they might do that, but if your misting them with water then I would call the shop and tell them whats going on and see if you can get them replaced, w/e you got them or w/e they got them from should have at least a 90 day replacement warrenty on them

took an empty windex bottle and filled it with water...so yeah a mist. i just dont see why they would be doing these....
