What should the torque on the header bolts be?

Lightbulb What should the torque on the header bolts be?
installing headers on sat and i need to know what torque to set these at thanks guys.....

Alot of these guys just go by feel .Just dont over do it and strip it out.

I had a post on this not too long ago, start from the center and work your way outward, first pass going 11 ft. lbs. 2nd pass doing 18 ft. lbs. After it was all said and done though i think i just ended up hand tightening them

i did the same thing...i torqued the first couple to 18 ftlbs, got a feel for how much to turn them, then did the rest without a torque wrench.

i'm probably a little light on a few because i was afraid to strip the holes...but i don't have any leaks and no bolts have backed out so it doesn't worry me

Get some stage-8 bolts too. That way you don't have to worry about them ever backing out.
