I have seen SLP LT's on a camaro, ground clearance SUCKED (stock ride-height)! Get some QTPs, Jet-hots are not stainless, QTP headers are. Though I have heard of some fitment issues with their catted y-pipes.

I've heard nothing but bad things about SLP headers on this site. Look into Kooks for that price. Want a cheaper and just as good version? Pacesetter sells a nice coated header that is very popular on this site. Just because they cost more doesn't make them better, all of them are the same for the most part.

Short anwser, NO. They are overpriced. I would just get the Pacesetter's unless you live in a snowy or salty area. Then stainless would be a must. Use the extra money for another mod.

stay away from the slp's. The ground clearance is HORRIBLE. If there wasn't a clearance issue they would be pretty sweet.

I got a TSP y-pipe. It came in a great package deal. Call Jon @ TSP & tell him I sent you over. He will hook you up. They have a LT/ORY package. You will also need O2 extensions. Re-use your stock metal gaskets or go get new metal gaskets though. The paper ones are crap.

If you have loudmouth you might not like it after the LT install. But they do offer a catted y-pipe if you want to go that route. The SLP Dual/Dual should sound fine with them though.

hmmm....I had/still have slp lt and loved them (of course I had to take them off when I went turbo)...honestly, ground clearance wasnt even an issue with me. I dont know where you guys are taking your cars but I havent had a problem with them on the paved roads. Not to mention the I have had the headers for 3 or 4 years and they still look good. the coating on them is great!

Ive got slp's and love them, the coating on them is great. The only place I see an issue is if someone wanted to lower thier car with the slp's. slp's+lowering=bad joojoo

personally i have slp lt's also and i dont have a ground clearance or fitment issue with them and they sound pretty healthy if you ask me, and for all the people bashing ground clearance do you happen to have these actually installed on your car i mean we here on ls1tech and on any other forum are internet mechanics and to tell you the truth i have seen numerous cars with slp's lowered and not a damn problem, thus is why every car is different we dont all ride the same height just like everything else and i dont see a problem with the slp's but i wouldnt spend the loot on them for that price hell for that go with the qtp's or just spend a lil more and get some kook's but whatever you do they all sound good its your car and you get what you pay for

slp's look like they've never been used

My buddy went from hooker LT's with ORY to SLP longtubes with a catted Y-pipe. (Note that the Cats do not hinder clearance because the collector hangs as low as the cats do). He scrapes on damn near everything. He got the SLPs for free and sold the hookers to me He wishes he still had the hookers.
