Why do Headers take so long

Default Why do Headers take so long

just trying to see where most of you got hung up or what problems you all had me and my buddy just did a set of headers y-pipe lm2 changed all 4 rotors and all the pads in 4 and a half hours

did you have a lift? it takes forever on jackstands. and if i can remember correctly the driver's side is a bitch.

For the most part, getting the stock stuff off takes alot longer than putting the headers on. It also depends on whether you choose to take the spark plugs out or just risk cracking them on the manifolds/headers.

Taking the stuff off is what takes the longest. Then with the drivers side you might need to notch the k member & shave a piece off the block.

it was actually not that difficult.. take the bolt out of the drivers side motor mount and jack the motor up abit and the driver sidie slides right in.. i left the plugs in and pulled the pass side back 2 coil packs.. i think i had a total of 5 hours and that was me extending my own o2 and everything on jack stands in my garage its not that bad. actually easier that an sbc (due to no hidden bolts under the runners)

getting the car high enough in the air is what took so long for me, the rest was a piece of cake

its always best to do things all at once while the car's already apart. otherwise youll just end up doing alot of it over again. i plan on doing plugs, wires, ls6 intake, ory, headers and stall in one session. gonna be a fun day

well i had my SLP LT's in but when i looked over them they were sitting on the o2 sensor wires so we had to take them back off and put heat wrap on them it SUCKED!!!!!!!
