Default 2 questions about the lid

I looked it up in the induction thread but didnt fnd it so I wanna ask this.

A while back when I installed my Lid and cold air kit. I removed a black plastic screen in front of my radiator or AC condenser ( I forgot) but I dont know if I was supposed to re-install it after I installed the cold air/ram air box...

Also my other question was : Is that rubber hose-like piece supposed to be in front of the lid?

Give me some pictures. If you are talking about the hose on the driver side it should not go in front of the lid.

Yeah I think pics would help here, also what CAI did you fit? FTRA, SLP Flow Pac??

The plastic screen I assume you mean the large peice of ducting thats infront of the rad assy? This is there to help direct air flow onto the rad and ac condensor. Fbody's are known as "bottom feeders". Which means all/most of the cooling and intake air comes from under the car not from the front via a more traditional radiator grill. If you look under front of the car you'll see a plastic spoiler assembly sticking straight down, this is an air dam, which produces a high pressure area of air and directs it up towards the rad, the ducting is there to aid in this process.

Personally it probably only attributes a small amount so if you are having no over heating problems then I wouldn't worry too much. However if there's room to fit it back on it won't do any harm either.

If the black piece of screen that you are talking about is the one long piece that goes on the bottom of the the A/C condensor and the Radiator, that is attached to the bottom frame. That piece need to go back on ASAP. It is there to direct air to the condensor and radiator for cooling prurposes. It will be very bad to run without it.

Use your digital camera and take the pictures, don't draw them. It will be a lot easier this way.
