Dual cutout question

Dual cutout question
I'm wanting to get a y-pipe with dual cutouts and was told by a local muffler shop that it would kill my ground clearance if I do this.
How? If the cutouts came straight off where the bend is, I don't see how there could be any less clearance except maybe from the flange.
Is there anyone else with ground clearance issues with dual cutouts?
Otherwise, I thought about just getting a merge collector that merges the 3" Y into a single 4" pipe then to a 4" cutout. I assume the dual cutout system will flow better than this though. Any thoughts?

I did one cutout in the I pipe under the rear passenger seat. My buddy did run into lower Ground clearance with his Duals only cause he wanted them angled down so the sut didnt collect on the bottom of the car.
