Default FEL PRO Gaskets ok?
Just picked up some FEL PRO header gaskets for my header install in a couple of days. they only cost 10 bucks and they seem to be a flimsy metal type. are they any good before i put them on my car? i would hate for them to leak..

I use some Fel-Pro 9199-pt graphites when I had a ringed block. I've never had an issue with their gaskets. I don't have experience with their header gaskets though.

I bought metal gaskets from GM ($30). I've bad experienced w/ fel pro header gasket leaking before.

I reused my stockers. They were even falling apart and still sealed up good. I did go to GM to see if they had any but I would have had to wait a few days which I didnt want to do. Oh well, I have no leaks, that is all that matters.

I used them just threw some copper seal on them never leak.

I have a better idea. Take his advice, the stock GM gaskets or new GM replacements are the way to go.
