qtp y w/ qtec
qtp y w/ qtec so i am thinking about ordering the qtp y with the qtec cut outs... do you think that i should get those or get a different y and ahve cut outs put on? i was going to go with the qtp b/c i wouldnt have to worry about gettin them put on.
I have the qtec y w/ dual cutouts. I think the design is better as far as power goes when the cutouts are open because exhaust goes straight off the header collectors and out under the car. Just welding cutouts in won't usually have this design. It also has a nice 2 into 1 collector at the end.
Alas, the fitment is rather poor. I paid an exhaust shop $90 to tuck up the pieces nice and weld them down. I'v also been waiting 3 weeks to get the cutouts back from qtec for service on what was supposed to be a 1 day turnaround.
