You just described the borla xr1 muffler there. I had a magnaflow and the borla made the exhaust sound noticeably better.

Yeah im looking to eventually put a bullet muffler after my exhaust cutout so i can be quite when i want to.

I run the dynomax bullet, it flows 2200cfm and cuts db by 2-4. I love the sound, I dont know if flow is ur number one concern
