and you can keep your opinions to yourself and waste your time and internet access on something more worthwhile. I said I was playing with the idea of it and I don't want huge flames, Good to have ignorant jackasses like yourself on this site, if you don't like something just keep it to yourself newby

The kits usually have a spark plug with it's own coil that mounts in the exhaust pipe. They also use a switch that kills power to the ignition coil(s) when you push the button while sending power to the exhaust plug. The unburned fuel in the cylinders enters the exhaust and then you have flames out the back. Kinda cool, but a good way to catch stuff on fire and get in trouble with the Popo

I have to agree...get a lowrider or a car that is older than you if u want to do silly stuff --a car with lots of plastic AND a COMPUTER is NOT a good idea...

I have removed the cats, and have LT's and Corsa back end. When I accelrate hard then change gear (manual) I get a pop.
If I decellerate then blip the throttle not enougth to make the car move just enougth to put a bit of fuel in the pipes and it pops like a gooden.

Have driven down a dark road and looked in my rear view mirror while doing this, and can see the road behind lighting up. Not sure how bit the flames are, will have to get someone to follow me.

The odd thing is i expect flames when running rich, but while decellerating with DFCO enabled I'm running way lean at that point greater than 17AFR (dont know actual figure as off the guage) Perhaps the exhaust eheats up and burns and small amount of fuel thats left in the pipes causing popping.

I don't really care how big the flames are, just the notion of them at all seems rediculous. I don't really appreciate the "ignorant jackass" remark, it could've atleast been something witty. You could be a little more mature than just freaking out when all I was doing was giving you my opinion, you shouldn't let it ruin your day. But then again, how could I not expect a childish response to a little criticism from someone who saw something in a movie and wants to make his car do it.

lol don't do it. I'd be afraid of starting a grease fire. Most of these car leak like a sieve from the differential.

He wasn't asking for opinions. He was asking for information. When you are able to define the difference between the two, you also will be able to avoid a hard slam back like he gave you. You can expect alot more of what you received if you continue running through peoples posts dropping your "Opinions" when they aren't asking for them. DEAL WITH IT

I dunno my buddies Z shoots flames, now when I say shoot I mean theres a lil flame at the end of the tailpipe. How far it shoots out I dont know, but its not very far. I dont think its enough to burn the bumper either. Usually does it when he lets off and sometimes on shifts not that often tho.

Pretty sure he's got stock manifolds, !CATS, SLP Ypipe, LM. Some people dont like they way it sounds but I do. This is on a 99btw.
