Default TSP True Duals Compared To.. Come Inside

I have heard that the moroso spiral flows are the worst flowing of the tsp td systems. I am in the market for an exhaust and I'm just curious as to whether this td system would be better or worse as compared to an ory with a hooker catback?? Any insight appreciated!

duals are always better, for flow but not a noticable amount unless your making big power. and yes the spiral flows may sound great they flow like ***, if you want sound and flow the STs are a good choice or if you just want loud and flow then get the bullets.

Flow like ***? Compared to what... a straight through bullet? Duh. I bet they will still outflow *MOST* y-pipe setups. Under 500rwhp I bet you wont even be able to feel the difference... I have 'em and love 'em. I just can't get into the ST style muffler... Maybe I'm the minority.

AWW MAN! I just ordered the Moroso Spiral Flow with a cutout. I just got my heads/cam done and my LM is just too loud so I thought the Spirals would flow great with miminum exhaust noise.

Does anyone have a comparison of a Stock manifold & Stock Y pipe with the Cutout after the Spiral vs LM1? Which flows better & quieter?

It does flow like **** because it necks down from either 3" or 2 1/2" to 2 1/4" inside of the muffler. Tell me that wouldn't reduce flow...

I went from lt's, ory, with a bullet replacing a LM resonator to true duals dumped with the flow pro twister mufflers and I picked up throttle response down low and mid range and still have the same if not better big end pull. So anyone with flow numbers please post them where it shows a twister flows like ***.

what about Powersticks? They don't neck down inside and probably flow about the same or better than Spiral-flo's.

30th t/a, that's good to hear! I really want these over a conventional y-pipe setup but I've just heard so much speculation about how the spiral flows "flow" or lack thereof, that I thought I would post this and judge from everyone's experience with them! Thanks to everyone that posted and if anybody has more good advice keep it coming!

nah no clips sorry. but i have tail pipes instead of dumps which helsp the sound to be a bit deeper and def. less interior noise. but biggest that goes over the axel is 2.5" so i choked mine up pretty good. sounds awesome though. to give you an idea of how much its choked...before ls6 intake i made 342, after i put my ls6 intake on i also put my tail pipes on. re-tuned and dynoed made 348 so basically the cancelld each other out. but soon im gonna chop them off and weld flanges on so i can take them off whenever i need to. like for the track.

The sweet thunders really don't flow any worse after seeing what kind of numbers certain cars have been putting down.

This car did 418 cam only Torquer 2 with sweet thunder mufflers on

Wow . ... Do a search buddy. I'm pretty sure 2.5" duals would support the majority of cars on this site. The Sweet Thunders that come in the TSP kit are 3" and neck down to 2.5". Yeah that must reduce some major flow.

I have ST's on my TSP TD's. A little raspy until I put my foot in it . IMO it's worth it even though a bullet muffler will flow better. I don't mind sacrificing the 2-3 hp for the sound.

i was very suprised to see i only lost 4rwhp. that was the reason i had the dual cutouts on my car. ended up i really didnt need them at all.
if I go 402 though, im going with the hooker catback. i like the sound plus its cheaper and neater under the car. but I did like the duals though too.
