question about kooks headers

question about kooks headers hey guys i have a 2002 ws6 that i am building a 455 ci ls1 motor for. i am going with the kooks headers, 1-3/4 stepped to 1-7/8 with the 3 inch collector, i went to order the headers the other day and by accident i orderd the wrong ones, i orderd part number 6500-1RHS which are the race version with no air fittings. i ment to order part number 6505-1S which is the stepped headers, but they have the air fittings. besides the air fitting not being there, is there anything else different with these headers? can i get rid of the air system or does the car need it? i am just trying to get out of sending these back if i can help it, but if the car would run better with the air system then i will send them back and get the right ones. also if there is anything else different with the header itself being the race version, i will also send them back. thanks for the help

they had to call me to confirm my order after i placed it online , if thats the case with yours, just tell them the mixup when they call.
nothings differnt excpet the tubes for a.i.r. would be missing.
the a.i.r. system just helps your cats heat up on startup , and soposedly only stay on for 10 seconds so there not really a vital peice. you would just need to get your pcm tuned to delete the a.i.r. codes and the rear o2 sensors.

ok cool thanks for the info, yeah the company never called me. they just sent them to me. so if that is the only difference, ill just get rid of the air and keep the race headers. thanks again
