I really liked the quality and fitment of the SLP lid, but it rubbed on the bottom of my SS hood. The SLP lid is now on my girlfriend's Trans Am, and doesn't rub at all with the stock Trans Am hood. I'm running the MTI clear lid on my SS now, and it doesn't rub like the SLP lid did. I did have to put the gasket that comes with the K&N filter on the bottom of the MTI lid to make it seal properly though. The MTI clear lid looks pretty cool with the Nitro Dave's halo spray bar under it.

Thanks again for all the replies - I went with the SLP from Speed Inc. I couldn't hardly loose for $92 and no shipping charges (I think this is the first SLP part I have installed on my car). It fit great but it does rub my SS hood which I don't really mind (my Direct Flow did too).
The SLP has slightly softer plastic than the DF did which makes it easier to install and probably means it will be less likely to crack.
I thought about a clear lid one but I don't generally keep my engine compartment clean enough for that.

i have a whisper, it fits great on my car. My friend has an SLP and it fit his well, but my whisper had a hard time staying on his car.
I don't like the nipple on the slp that makes you have to either block it off or use AIR system.

according to gmhtp: slp, gms and whisper fit and seal well. slp is the cheapest of those three and seems to make good power.
fir what its worth they tested 8 lids on the 1/4th on the same car. mti, slp, and then qmp rounded out the top three there.
all lids made an improvement.
it youre interested further, get the magazine.
