Lt Header Install
Lt Header Install So I started on the install at 130 or so today and I'm still not finished. quitting for the rest of the day. gonna pick it up again tomorrow. Install isnt necessarily hard just very time consuming and patience testing. I dont think its something that I'd wanna do again lol

Id prolly give up lol Longtubes can be a trial for sure. If you have a friend that can make your life easier. Or a lift. 
I have done it both ways and had less time doing it without racking it on a lift. Get a 6X6 block of wood and use it as the assistant on the jack. That made life EASY.

ya i did a write up on my 1st header install but man did i learn alot if i had to do another set i think i could get it done in prob 4-5hours. but i installed and uninstalled my headers bc i kept running into problems. like the header was sitting on the o2 sensor wires and starter wires and i had to just put heat wrap on them . but i think i made prob 5 trip to advance auto parts LOL

Yeah after i figured out i have to undo the steering it wasn't long to get out n when i had to put the LT in it took maybe 5 mins (seriously) it took alil while to redo the steering but it wan't bad

undoing the coilpacks and removing the steering linkage makes life a lot easier. the steering linkage is just two bolts and the headers slide right in. the passenger side make sure you have at least 10" of wood on your jack or it wont be high enough. i just put on my friends headers and x-pipe and deleted his air in about 10 hours included lunch breaks and a trip to home depot for some wood, the more you do it the easier it gets, also make sure you have the right tools!!sawzall, plenty of wood, etc.
