I have a bud whos running them straight back over the axle with no x or h and Id have to say it sounds awesome. It runs great too so Im not soo sure you need an H or X.

I'm undescribably envious, by the way.
I have a custom exhaust so maybe if I had the stock springs it might interfere with the exhaust the way it is ran now. All your guy would have to do is run it slightly different so there would be no interference.

Also you dont have to TiG weld stainless, it can be MiG welded with er308 or er316 wire and pure argon. Or OA welded but it would take longer since you have to back gas most likely.

I wish there was someone in CT that could do something like that. I could even live with teh non-stainless.. I'd just paint it black with some good high temp black paint.

I do have a question.. the wiring and whatnot on the drivers side.. what did you do to prevent this from getting heat damage.. I assume you had to do something to insulate it from the heat yes? That was my only concern about doing that type of setup on the drivers side, the heat from the pipes messing with the wiring.

I was considering having something like this done, but run both pipes down the passenger side and over the axle, into a couple of those chrome mufflers that the import guys use.. if there's any that are actually quiet.... I think they would look good in the transam bumper cover cutouts... but I've had zero luck finding out A) how those mufflers will sound with a healthy 402 huffing thru them, and B) actually findind someone that can do it.... finding someone that can and is willing to do it. I even wanted to put a set of the tiny little cat's that magnaflow came out with right at the end of my header collectors.. and the one shop that I found that could probably do it didn't want to.

Stupid CT emissions. Nice setup though! sound clip please....

I haven't done it yet, but I am going to insulate it with header wrap.

What about the pipe being close to the fuel line? Should that be a concern at all?

It really isn't that close, so that isn't any concern.
