true duals vs cut out

will true duals sound better/louder than my electric cut out i have before the muffler? If so whats a good dual set up

the purpose of a cutout is being able to change the volume of the exhaust when desired... an open cutout before the muffler with no cats will have the about the same tone as true duals

Volume yes, but not tone (I'm sure that's what you meant

). An open cutout has hardly any tone at all, it's just "loud as hell" noise. My open cutout sounded badass at idle & WOT but made you want to stab your eardrums out everywhere else. My duals are 97% as loud as the cutout, but sound sexy at every single rpm. Duals ftw!!!

I switched from a cutout to true duals and will never look back, they sound 100 times better than the cutout

Volume wise, i think my cutout was just about as loud as my duals are, but like said, theres no tone to it, its just loud.

It does turn heads though.
