I got tired of waiting for the LG headers so I went with QTP. No fitment issues whatsoever. I'm so happy with them. Got them for $650 with the end of summer sale they had.

I love my Kooks headers. The Y pipe had some fitment issues that were compounded by my shitty motor mounts. The mounts have been replaced and it is now a non issue. My headers fit like a glove and they are stainless so they won't rust out like "coated" headers always do. They may work great in Texas or New Mexico, but they will rust out in a few years in the North East if daily driven in the rain and snow.

Pacesetter all the way unless you like wasting money and you got it like that.. Make sure you get the armor coating or jet hot coating it looks better and lasts alot longer.

Ity all depends on what your looking for. If your going all out race car I would say go with kooks but over the best bang for the buck I would go with pace setter. I have seen a lot of cars make pretty good power using these headers

Subscribing - I want to see what these headers are all about. I'm torn between them and QTP HVMC's

Kooks has the best headers out at this point in time.

I voted other. Dynatech, stainless, easy install, excellent ground clearance.
On a budget, pacesetters.

B-MAN, I love your headlight conversion.

I just saw a Trans Am with the Dynatechs w/cats installed and the y-pipe was really low, is this common with this system or was this just an install problem. I will be buying my headers next month and I am trying to decide between the Dynatechs or Kooks. Kooks looks like the way to go.

Thanks, the conversion was well worth the money.

By the way I too, have Dynatech long tubes, they are awsome, converters and all. The reason I voted cooks is because of all the good thngs I have heard.

This poll is too short on selection, you should repost with a full selection. My KOOKS headers tucked up so good under the car we had to yank it lower so it wouldn't rattle the floorboard, which it didn't anyway. From what I have read

QTP-Best power and deal with velocity collectors now cheap, excellent fit n finish

KOOKS-Best fit, Excellent finish, A little cheaper than QTP's, doesn't have velocity collectors though

Pacesetter-Best bang for your buck.

I wouldn't look anywhere else until someone comes out with something better than those, I heard LG is bringing some nasties soon though.

I really have to disagree here, I think Edelbrock is the best fit I've seen so far, the stepped design makes more top end power and retains low end torque. They have 3 1/2" merge collectors, which are even adjustable. Only drawback is they aren't stainless, but I do really like the Ti coating on them. They are priced the same as the pacesetters.

If you change the stock cat back system, they will make your car substantially louder. not to mention that if you decide to not run any catylitic converters this will also increase noise level. I did a decibel check on my car with dynatech long tubes, slp loudmouth cat back, and no converters, it registered 110 decibels, with the converters it registered 96 decibels, then again after I installed 2 more flow through mufflers on my SLP loud mouth. The final result was 84 decibels @ 3 feet from the rear of my car.
