This sounds so noob - SLP lid seating question...
This sounds so noob - SLP lid seating question... I've been wrestling with my SLP lid and smooth bellows that I got today, and one side of the lid won't seat correctly. It will latch, but after driving the latch has sprung. I've tried putting everything together as a whole, one piece at a time, and in chunks, and I can' seem to get it to seat properly.
Anyone else have this problem....ever?

mine seats fine. In the front though you want the lid lip to be right behind the lower box lip, then it will fasten down real nice and tight. And make sure the tabs in the back are in the holes.

what he said, i had the same problem until i realized the bottom airbox kind of holds the lid into place.
As stated, make sure 4 pegs are in all 4 holes in back, front lip goes in the airbox lip. In the middle of the two metal clips, the bottom airbox will be IN FRONT of the lip of the lid. My passenger popped off for 2 weeks before I figured it out.

Verdad Gallardo That was exactly the problem I was having. Somehow the car gods smiled upon me after I took everything back apart and started over. Now the lid is seated correctly, and I'm looking forward to not having to wrestle it into place until I have to clean the K&N again.
