Default Which muffler makes the most power??

I have a 99 Z28 6 speed and I was wondering which muffler makes the most power. I've heard that hooker maximum flow makes 5 ft/lbs. more torque than open pipes. I'm thinking about either a dynomax bullet, magnaflow, or the hooker muffler. I still have stock manifolds and y-pipe now but I'm wanting to get long tubes in the near furture. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Is this question similar to which muffler flows the most CFM? From what I could research, it looks like a 3" Dynomax Ultra Flow, Dynomax Bullet, Hooker Max Flow, Borla are your best choices for making the lowest restriction catback on your exhuast.

Flow charts for the Dynomax Ultra Flow and other popular brands:
http://www.a-1performance.com/flow.htm

Other muffler flow data:

I suppose my Magnaflow catback is right in the middle somewhere ahead of Flowmaster but behind the leading mufflers. I am really curious as to the flow rates of the CORSA and GMMG mufflers.....can't find anything on them.

I still can't decide between the dynomax bullet or the hooker maxflow. I wonder if the bullet will make more power than the hooker on a 3 in. mufler? From what I seen on the chart more flow equals more h.p. right? I also seen that some back pressure is good. The bullet flowed like 1200 cfm on a 3 in. and the hooker flowed 521 on a 2 1/2 in. so I don't think the hooker could out flow the bullet if they were both 3 in. Please help!!!

I just looked at the flow chart again and the dynomax flowed 2200 cfm instead of 1200

Ok, I think I'm going to get the dynomax bullet, but I wonder what it would sound like if I mount it were my original muffler was and put a turn down on it?

Are you planning on running a Dynomax bullet with LTs and an ORY?? That setup will sounds very close to straight pipes and will be quite loud for the street. I Just don't think you will be satisfied with the tone if this is a Daily Driver.

Yes this is a daily driver I like making a little noise, but I don't know if it will be to much. I think for now it will sound good since I still have my cats on it. Now im just debating on wither to mount the bullet in my I-pipe or were my muffler was? Will it make any difference in power or sound as to were I mount it?
