FWIW the flowmaster catalog says a single 3" 1 chamber is good for only up to 250hp, so i'm thinking it is safe to say that it will cause restriction. oh well i guess there is no cheep way for good sound.

^^ I don't know how much that would reduce flow, but I think two 1-chambers after the axle would sound a lot better and would probably flow better as well.

I found that on the online catalogue, not the site, perhaps I read it wrong. Just go to page 68, there is a chart.

? Do you mean two 1 chambers, one after another, or a true dual exhaust with 1 chambers at the end?

They would have to be placed after some type of y-pipe after the single pipe goes over the axle. Kinda like if you had the rear section of a loudmouth but put the mufflers before the tips or something.

I've got a buddy with a dumped single one chamber on his 5.3 truck. He still has cats, and it's not very loud. It'd sound alot better with !cats.

I got TDs on my camaro for the flow but the sound was a nice bonus

I guess you would have to run two then. I was trying to put it in the I-pipe somewhere, only using one. That's what i was trying to determine, if running only one 3 inch 1 chamber would become a restriction.

No, a one chamber won't be a restriction.

i've put one on my car after the axle on my tsp rumbler. hasn't felt like I lost anything. I haven't been to the track to back that up though.

I mean lt headers to ory to single pipe over the axle that splits into 2 with a 1 chamber between the axle and the tips on each side. Does that make since? its kinda like a vette's exhaust w/ the mufflers before the tips. I have seen a guy on here that has it...its a red t/a, don't remember his name tho. Sounds badass.

I think I might just put one in place of my borla muffler, then still use the plates and see how it sounds. I like the sound of my open borla lt's and cats, but i want more tone to it.

My original idea was coming over the axle like a normal cat-back and then splitting into two separate pipes going out each side with each side having a 1-chamber.

i think it sounds awesome, no drone or rasp what so ever. I'm on stock manifolds, getting headers soon, so i'll see how it sounds then.

The long tubes will definitely make it louder...as I'm sure you know...but I bet it will sound badass.
