Default Dynomax Ultra Flo X mufflers?

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...5&autoview=sku

i tried a search but came up short.
is anyone running a set-up like this in place of the stock muffler location?
i think it would be an advantage for weight savings, from having two muffler and a x pipe.

thanks,
lance

It wouldn't be as effective at the rear of the vehicle, if you can get it within a resonable distance it would probably be a good idea. Hopefully your talking about doing this to the truck not the F bod cus that would be damn near impossible to get under a f bod close enuff to the headers to be worthwhile.

no, this is not for the truck.
it would be placed in the location of the stock muffler.

I think that the X pipe would be to far back to make extra hp, then you would have the extra weight of 2 pipes all the way back also.

I wouldn't advise running that muffler at the back of an f-body. Like others said, if it was on a truck, or a car where you could get it closer to the headers, then I would definately recommend it.

You want to keep the X close to the headers to see any sort of gain from it.

Thats why I said it could be worthwhile on your truck, you could mount up the muffler right behind the crossmember where the exhaust crossed over to the passenger side.
