Umm, no matter what you dont have the right to call your father names like that. and His posts were very uneducated.

Im didnt come here to start a flame war. But what I told him, is not wrong.

and he is either BSing about those ongoing incidents . because that is the dumbest thing I have heard. and if it is true, then he is the retard for never reporting any of that to the authorities. Why the hell is his mother or he still live with that guy, if he pulls out a gun on them?

Either way.

before this starts a war let me explain. my parents are happy with each other. however theyre stuck with each other, beause they wouldnt be able to survive w/o the other because of monetary issues. Yes ye pulled a gun on us, he had a little breakdown. and for that I think hes a ******** and they both do some pretty screwed up stuff to me. (ex. the gun incident, and I got in so much **** voer having a myspace it wasnt even funny, knida fucked up huh?)Why do I still live with them? because im not 18 yet, I wont be 17 until january. 90% im with my grandparents away from them anyhow.

Anyhow back on the topic, this isnt gonna turn into my life story of how I wanna move the hell out.

I'm just gonna ignore the other stuff and go to the original question. I'm with what other people have said, if you can get the cash then go that route. You can hold onto for headers or for anything else you would want to get. If they won't just give you the cash maybe go for a pulley or something along that route. If they won't give you either one, ask for something that you could easily sell if you wanted the cash.

dumbest thing i have ever read.^ names<<<<<gun pulling

id called my dad names for less, hes called his dad names for less,-etc forever. doesnt mean i dont like him, doesnt mean i disrespected him in any way, means he pissed me off royally(if im mad enough to call him something,it takes a hell of alot to get me mad, especailly at him) and im venting.

+1 on asking for money. then you can have time to figure out what you want to do with it, or save for something else.
id save for something other then a tune, unless you have alot of bolt ons i dont think it would be worth it. im getting my car dyno tuned after im done buttoning everything up on my install of parts, but i got a mail order tune for a basline (wich is put twards my dyno tune price, so i made out alright with the mail order)

Unless my calculator is broken, 13.81-13.42= .39 sec. drop. I might be wrong, someone check me on that.

Back on topic, just get the money and go for the ebay headers. That is exactly what I am doing cause my parents think my cars too fast as it is.

thats my problem, and thats what im shooting for. I got a post up now for any updates on them and the y pipe if you wanna check it out

** but I still doubt a .4 gain. did you get better at driving? better track prep? better conditions?

.4 is far fetched for even a dyno tune at times

It was slightly cooler, maybe 8-10*, 60ft dropped a little, but I didnt realize how much my car sucked until I got the tuner. The car pulls harder through the gears, and when it shifts 1-2 it will put you back in the seat. My friend didnt believe me either, then I let him drive it. when he came back he had a huge smile on his face and was like holy ****. I also get 3-4 mpg better in the city.

I will do a real test when I get the new superchips tuner. I am going to test the stock tune vs. diablo sport vs. superchips on the same night with recorded temps to avoid the "your full of it" comments.

well see how it works out, but so far im saying its far fetched. you driving and conditions helped out more than the tuner did

I ran my car in the summer, about 90*. Ran it during the coldest florida night, about 50*. I ran low 13.8 in the summer and a mid 13.6 in the winter. Now with that 40* drop that is not much of a drop in time. You are probably basing your judgement on how people say that you need EFI live or HP tuners because everything else is junk and not worth the money. I know that those are better, but you cant say that handhelds dont do anything if you have no experience with them. And I honestly doubt I am the only one to see decent gains from a handheld anyway.

i would look at a few options...you can pick up some weld in subframe connectors for like $100ish and you seem to be good at welding and such so you could do that yourself, then maybe some lca relocation brackets for another $100ish and have $100 to spend on appearance: emblems, overlays, white face gauges etc.. OR skip all that and get a adjustable TA (i happened to just pick up a nice umi adjustable for $175 shipped on here). You could get a stall and install it yourself...you could get a used nitrous system...you could get some nittos...umm i'm sure theres alot more
