Does this look normal? *pic*

It looks pretty clean but with out a test drive and good look over i'd be leery of and as said before a car on the lot with slicks I'd try to walk from.
My first impression of the car is to pass. If I were in your shoes, the MT drag radials would cause me to lose interest, too much of a risk that the car was thrashed.
And if it does have a cam....yeah well, we'll go look at it in a bit...I'll keep you boys up to date.

As for responsible driving, that is the car owner's own responsibility
(...although you can try to lecture someone about this...).
The dealership probably knows very little about f-bodies, if anything at all.
Although you could be right about the piece of **** part.
That might be why it was traded in.
We went there and I looked the car over some more. It had adjustable rear shocks, and as mentioned was lowered in the front....more than an inch, that's for sure. It had SLP headers...so lowering it was a poor choice. I am disppointed in SLP headers, they had rust spots on them! But anyhow....we were concerned about the scraping, but we test drove the car anyhow. It had no cam or head work, engine ran good, a bit of piston slap at start up, but other than that it ran fine. We scraped the headers pretty good a few times, and I was kinda disappointed in how quiet it was, so was she actually. When it came down to deal time...the guy presented us with a asking price of 14995!!! He said it listed for 16500, but they so nicely took some money off right away. They offered her 2000 on her car, plus 2000 money down and came up with 42 payments of 510 dollars!!! I mentioned that 10000 dollar price on autotrader and they said it was a mistake.
So we left. Looked at a Mustang GT still, sounded good, slow as ****, and a Trans Am that was an obvious accident car.
So now we have two more Trans Ams to look at.
Shady *** dealer, it was fun though
