I have had both hooker and now have magnaflow. The magnaflow is way better than the hooker, and has a nice deep bass at idle and screams at wot. Another benifit is magnaflow is stainless and the hooker is not. If you decide to get long tubes it will sound awesome with the magnaflow.

Not a typical muffler mentioned, but I'm running duals with Flowtech Raptor mufflers, and they have a deeper tone to them than any other muffler I've tried (which includes a Hooker Aerochamber (Y pipe), Flowmaster 80 series (Y pipe), Sweet Thunder (duals), Flowmaster single chambers (duals), and Moroso spiral flows (duals))

They were cheap as hell too. Don't know if I lost/gained any power, but I haven't really felt any difference between the mufflers I've used on the duals. They are somewhat "quiet" too

3" True Duals, no cats, H-pipe, and Flowmaster 1-chambers dumped before the axle. Otherwise, buy an LT1

Then after listening more i've decided to go with the magnaflow cause it sounds deep when driving then when u woot sounds real nice no rasp. So thats my choice best price i seen it for is $769.00 does anyone know if i can buy it for cheaper?

I got mine for my camaro for $400 shipped through www.byunspeed.com , also check the group purchase section as they usually have deals on magnaflow exhausts all the time.

If you have a welder you can make a bullet like muffler and dump it before the axle.
Cost me 25 bucks. Sounds awesome.
