There really isn't going to be enough difference to worry in terms of HP, espcially if you are running duals. 600rwhp guys may need to be more picky but until then it don't matter.

Personally I prefer the sound of chambered mufflers. The ST's are similar in nature to the GMMG mufflers. But as stated Stainless Works chambered mufflers don't "neck down" like ST's do. Classic Chambered Exhaust make the Powerstick which is cheaper and just as good but in aluminiumized steel not stainless.

Also I doubt turbulance is really an issue, not that far downstream anyhow. And plus chambered mufflers work by delfection. So they have to have the louvers in them to actually work.

Bullet mufflers will also have a greater affect on the exhaust pressure wave also.

This will be a single bullet or muffler setup off the y-pipe, i won't go true duals because i need to pass emissions..I keep listening to all these sound clips on LS1sounds, and I just can't tell which I like better, both sound good, but all of the sweet thunder clips are on a true dual setup, so i was wondering how much of a difference it would be between true dual STs and a single ST...

Nvm, I just found the stainless works site, that seems a little out of my price range...I want the $880 for headers and a catted y....The TSP is only 300 with magnaflow tips plus another 50-80 for the ST muffler if i go that route...that means I'd save 530 bucks minus install...

I don't know anyone with a lift...unless there is another way to do it, and I won't have time because I am a college kid...In the summer I am going to have a full time job during the week and a part time job on the weekends, so I'll be working all 7 days...I am just going to have my cousin's shop do it for me, so I will get a deal on the install...Meanwhile, I'll be driving a Ford Taurus because my Tahoe will be sold by then...WOOOOO Taurus!!!...lol...

Aluminized steel is very corrosion resistant, especially if it's a beefy gauge (like the Powersticks are). I've had a set on my car for 3 years now & they are not deteriorating at all.

If you live were there is alot of salt, Say by the beach or something, they do not last as long as what stainless will. And if you have two different kinds of metal for exhaust, say like stainless pipe and aluminized muffler, then you might get Biomatalic Corrosion. Correct me if I am wrong!!! But I see it all the time were I work at.

gonna sound like a dumptruck if you aren't cammed IMO

I used to run LT's, no cats and no muffler dumped at the axle and that bitch was loud and raspy.. but all there is to it. Sounded demonic at WOT though.
