Exclamation Throttle Body Question, Mti Racing 80mm

I just bought a billit mti racing 80 mm tb with a little porting done to it. We installed it in my car and the car idled fine but when i drove it down the road the car accelerated nice but when i hit the stop sign and put it in neutral the rpms stayed at 3500 rpms . My friend says that it is my throttle position sensor that needs to be programed or something like that what do you guys think . is it possible for a tb to go bad. thanks

I'm guessing that it stuck open slightly. You might take it off and make sure that it opens and closes smoothly...if if doesn't then loosen the thottle plate screws and shift the blade around so that it does (open and close smoothly), retighten the screws, and then you should be good to go. I hope that this helps.

Reset the PCM and make sure everything is plugged in before you reset
