John a slp dual dual or stock catback would be perfect for you. My car is so much fun to drive on the street because 1) it's quiet, 2) it doesn't smell that much. Put dual 2.5" cutouts right after the TTS cat shells, they work great for me.

I think I am going to try the Ultrflow in the non stainless version. Single 3 inch in and out.
If that doesn't quiet it down a lot I will try something else LOL. That muffler flows great numbers though and definitely has a LOT more packing inside it than my basically straight pipe Race magnum haha! Going to install the 3 inch cutout and run the rest of the catback again as well. A bit of extra weight but I have to keep my wife happy
Cheers,
Chris

Ultra flo street/race 17221, 17223 or 17229. They differ in configuration only. I use the 17221 as my 'quiet' muffler. And they're cheap.

It's almost a straight through.

The tailpipe tubes are straight through to each other, but the connection from the inlet to the tailpipes is via the internals of the muffler. The inlet dead ends into a peforated tube, and the tailpipes are connected via another perf tube. The exhaust has to flow out one set of holes, through the packing in the muffler, and out the oher set of holes.

the dynomax is true straight though.

I must have looked thru it tail to tail instead of inlet to tail then, BUT the muffler guy showed me you could look thru it, he said it straight thru and wanted to know where I'd found a cat-back like the dual/dual...they do mostly flowmasters on mustangs so that might explain it...

Which do you think will fit best and be the quietest in your application?
17221 fit without much trouble?
What did you pay for that muffler?
Cheers,
Chris

The dynomax race magnum welded ovals have got to be the best flowing (straight thru design). They are also pretty quiet. They tent to louden up when you lay into it

Just ordered the 17220 center in and center out 3 inch muffler. Going to pick it up tomorrow and probably wait to install it in the spring LOL
Thanks for the information guys. Going to install my 3 inch cutout too while I am at it.
Thanks,
Chris

I'll throw in a bone here....

I ran the Hooker catback on my car with Macs & ORP. Coming from running a Loudmouth, this was pure heaven....

The Hooker catback is the best all around exhaust, PERIOD. My car was stock sounding when idling, VERY tame around town with a nice little rumble, ZERO rasp, and screamed when you expected it to, at WOT. For 270 bucks, you cannot beat this system IMO. For you guys trying to hide a cam or ride in stealth mode, this is definately a good choice. This catback is comparable to a B&B Tri Flo for 1/2 the price.

FYI, Hooker is a aerochamber design and flows DAMN good. Made 16 rwhp over stock on a buddy's Z. You don't even see that much from a Loudmouth.

Food for the thought guys...

Yes, quiet until you go WOT or pretty close. I am also running stock compression (if that makes any difference) and a 218/224 high lift comp cam
