Thank's for the reply, I would be interested in the Mufflex race pipes. Just want to pick up 5 or 10 hp and bring the sound level up a little.

Where do you live? I have a set of the Mufflex race pipes that fit my 2000 T/A. I took them off and wanted to sell them since I’m getting headers next spring. I’m currently running just stock gutted cats.

Remember, any time you remove the cats (gutted, race pipes, off-road Y-pipes) you need O2 sims to keep the SES light away. These sims typically sell for about $90 new. I’m not selling my sims though, as I’m still going to need them for the headers.

Default off-road pipe

Anyone make a off-road pipe for 2000 ls1's? Would like for it to replace from the manifolds to the cat-back connection. Would take anything though.

MAC makes a full off-road Y-pipe. Mufflex makes “race pipes” that work with your stock Y-pipe and you just unbolt the cats for ’00 and up and bolt these in. SLP makes a Y-pipe that will work with either the stock cats or the mufflex pipes. You can also have one custom fabed. Don’t waste too much time on Y-pipes for stock mainfolds if you’re ever planning on doing headers.
