which intake do i need
This is gonna go on my patrol truck, me being a cop, cause I'm tired of taking 1.5 miles to catch someone. Let me know what ya'll know. Thanks. CNC-machined 3/8"-thick steel flanges are matched to exhaust port profile for optimum seal and flow.
• Flash-controlled 16-gauge carbon steel primaries provide greater durability than light gauge stainless steel.
• Length and diameter of mandrel-bent tubing is optimized for flow and best performance increase.
• Tubes enter collector in proper sequence for maximum scavenging.
• O2 sensor fittings on all applications.
• Complete with necessary gaskets and fasteners for installation.
• Made in USA
• Affordably priced
• Off road use only.
ARMOR*Coat, 99-05 GM Silverado/Sierra 1500, 4WD, 4.8L/5.3L, Long Tube

Your district/precinct/county lets you modify your vehicle? Do you have to do anything special to get permission to do so? Seems like a lot more guys would mod their Crown Vics if it was acceptable at more precincts. I know I would if I was a cop. True duals and lt's on a 4.6 Crown Vic
you should start out with exhaust, long tube headers and true duals for maximum performance. then you should start thinking about a stall converter, it will turn your truck inside out, no joke, it would probably cut your 0-60 time nearly in half. after you have headers and a stall. an LS6 intake would probably be your next mod. then after you have all that look into a cam and lastly heads THEN come back and think about a FAST.
and to answer your question.. you would need get an LS1 water pump because it has a lower profile. the truck intakes TB sits up much higher than the LS1s. after you switched your water pump you could then use a LS1/6 or FAST intake
then somehow aquire a Trailblazer SS, you can get a new one with no options for around 30k.
put some headers and an intake on it and you have a very solid 12 second truck.
16k isnt bad for a 'ho. does it have a 6.0 (on an unrelated note, that rhymes). if you have the 6.0 heads and a cam will really wake that motor up.. and would be in the $4,000 range.

I bet that would wake that motor up quite a bit!
