Wear gloves. My hands were cut up pretty good from my install.

My pacesetters showed up @ 4pm today, I had started takin stuff off @ 2, I got done removing the AIR system, both stock manifolds/cats, and stock y-pipe(which was welded to my catback) at around 6pm, taking my time of course and alone. Friend showed up and we got everything done and tidy and fired her up at 9pm.

I had 0 issues, I did it on ramps on the front with the rear on jack stands, didn't have to cut or grind anything to get the headers up there and bolted.

Comes with new header bolts and copper gaskets, which I used. I also bought 2 24" O2 extensions which you will need. Only other things I would say to get would be spark plugs since you're there and its so easy, just change them out after you remove your old manifolds cause you can easily get the LT's up there with spark plugs in place. If you will allow the engine to cool the bolts break loose much easier, I started with it warm and it was a bitch, the passenger side went so easy cause I did it later when the engine was cool.

That dipstick I was stumped on for a bit but you pretty much just yank on it real hard straight up and it will eventually come right out, oh yea after you remove the 15mm bolt that bolts it to the head. It wasn't near as bad as I thought it was going to be though, very quick and easy considering how slow I did everything.

I can't agree more, I got all the stock stuff removed without a scratch just some rubbing so I had red marks and I was gonna come up on LS1Tech and brag about how there was no blood shed, then I went to change my plugs and my hand slipped and I got this 2 inch long gash down the length of my middle finger, pretty deep too. Hurts so bad... I wore a glove the rest of the install and it made things much easier.

ive probably had the worst experience installing headers ever... but i wont get into that. funny thing is the dipstick was the least of my problems... lol. Make sure u get the car off the ground and do like that one guy said. Point ur collector downward and push up and rotate as u go up. This is for the drivers side header BTW. Passenger side header is a breeze. Ull need o2 extensions for the front and stock GM metal gaskets are the best and most recommended on this site.

I had to jack up the motor, grind stuff, cut stuff, hone out the bolt holes on the header, adjust the steering rack, take out the filter, etc etc... all in all took 3 days... but thats a rare occasion with a bad batch of QTP headers... o well. Hopefully yours will go alot more smooth than that.

Oh yea I took off the steering knuckle or whatever it is you call it, plenty of room to put it back after you get things bolted up. Don't forget anti-seize on your bolts.

yes you need the o2 extensions unless you're okay with extending the wires by cutting and splicing them with the crap provided by pacesetter. o2 sims you will need if you aren't getting the codes deleted by someone with a tuner, or you can deal with the SES light.

yes... they are

i have no rear o2... just the fronts.. rear o2 have no effect on your engine performance... just get the code tuned out (or get sims), and have the AIR/EGR code tuned out at the same time

sims sometimes still throw codes....
