Default 98-02 throtle body such and easy question!

I have an 01 formula will a 99 throttle body work just as same? i believe i herd it is different. And yes i searched its not working.... yet again!

the cam is a different size so no...unless you modify it which would be a bitch

It's only the cam lope profile. I think the earlier TB's open faster, but would be less progressive and smooth for normal driving. Unless the TSP doesn't like it I can't see why it wouldn't work.

I was wondering about this as well and I have seen numerous TB's listed without a year specified and when I sell them sometimes I have no idea what they came off of and no one has had any complaints.

Ok did a little research. 98 and 99 are the same. It is a different sized cam used to open the throttle blade. They are not compatible. However it looks like you should just be able to swap the throttle shaft over from oe to the other. Not sure if the throttle cable is longer or anything but I havent seen anything that says one way or the other.

The shaft is an easy swap. The "cam" or half-moon as I like to call it is bigger on the '00-'02. I don't see why it wouldn't work on the '98-'99 unless the cable was a different length as mentioned.
