It comes with gasket, coolant block off tubes, crossover tubes and egr fitting. All you need to do is buy the manifold and install.

If you buy a used LS6 intake, you can modify (with the LPE adapter) it for less than the SLP version.

I bought the LPE part.

Makes the LS6 intake look completely stock to a LS1 intake. It's a well done piece.

Used LS6 + LPE part costs a lot less than the SLP lid, and if you grind down the fins on the LS6 intake, it will fit comepletely without having to remove the coolant tubes.

What's the LPE part? What does it look like? You have any pics?

going price for LS6 intakes is around 350 without crossover coolant lines. IMO way to much when for like 4xx you can have a brand new intake, lines and gaskets

i was thinking the same thing. also spending that much even at 300 then having probs with a used intake not worth it imo.

im ordering the slp one and it has everything i need for 490.00 shipped to my door.

x2 on that.

That’s why I ordered a new SLP intake with the egr housing. I ordered it from LS1speed.com and it came with everything I need for an easy install. It didn’t make
sense to me to buy a used intake and then spend money on the egr block off plates, coolant lines and gaskets, why not just buy a new one that comes with everything and be done with it.

I received it today and will install this weekend.

be very careful and make sure you lift up the brake booster line so you dont break off the oil pressure sending unit

The slp intake is a ls6 intake but has the provision for the egr which the 01-04 ls6 intakes did not. 2000 was the last year for an egr on a f-body.

Has egr..

Doesnt have egr...

the only reason to go with slp intake is for emmsions purpose or if you would like to keep egr for that. im in cali and egr is needed for emmsions so i opted for it. but if emmsions is not a concern and you have a 98-2000 ls1. you can get and intake form our sponsors or search the for sale section..

i recieved my slp intake earlier this week now need to find the time to install.
